Just to say "hello"...
by Howard Meharg
A pleasant "hello" to you. It seems like a good idea to introduce myself (or re-introduce myself to friends who might take a minute to read this).
Here's where you get to make a choice. If you should decide you'd like to read more about me, just scroll on down a bit. You'll find some of my story there. Otherwise, I'd love it if you just clicked on a title below. Most of these articles are my own writing. Some are by others, including one by Mark Twain.

A pleasant "hello" to you. It seems like a good idea to introduce myself (or re-introduce myself to friends who might take a minute to read this).
Here's where you get to make a choice. If you should decide you'd like to read more about me, keep reading. If you want to skip directly to my "blog" material, just scroll back up a bit and click on a title in the menu...and thanks for taking a look!
If you'd like to start out by learning a bit more about me, just keep reading...
I taught choral music, primarily, in the schools of Castle Rock, Kelso, and Longview, Washington for 30 years.
So, two years in the schools of Castle Rock, beginning in 1959, fifteen years in Kelso, and thirteen in Longview, mostly at Mark Morris High School.
I retired from full time work in the schools in 1996. Now, if you do the arithmetic, you'll see five missing years.
No real mystery here. I quit teaching for a while. Sold houses. Even opened my own real estate office, handling that business for two years. I liked the business! I worked with some interesting and capable people both at Dynamic Reality (Charles Bond, Broker) and I thoroughly enjoyed operating my own "flat-fee" brokerage, Team Residential Sales. (All this operation in Longview/Kelso, Washington.)
Oh, sure...I could go on and on, but suspect you may already be bored with even a hint at my "life's story."
But, just in case you're interested, clicking or tapping HERE will take you to more details on my career as a teacher, director of choral music, singer, and yes, even about my five-year real estate sales stint. All this supplied just in case you want to know about the writer before choosing to read another word.
